pavillion gaming desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

so all the ports on the back of my gaming desktop are covered up or are unknown except for one of the hdmi ports. I am trying to runa dual monitor setup and this is not letting me.

Without a full model number, it will be a generic answer.  If all the outputs are covered, that means they are not to be used with the current setup.  That condition usually indicates there is a graphics card present and those covered outputs are from the motherboard.  Most modern graphics cards have more than one output, so please explain the statement " or are unknown except for one of the hdmi ports".  I suspect that is the problem, probably a display port is present but its  purpose unknown to you.

Investigate if that is the situation and report back.
