@surind
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried with different DVDs?
  • Are you getting any error message or code while playing the DVD?
  • Does it show under this PC options?

Step 1: See if the drive displays in BIOS

Step 2: Check the drive name in Device Manager

Step 3: Use the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

Step 4: Reset the computer power

Step 5: Check drive cable connections (desktop tower computers only)

Step 6: Clear the upper and lower registry filters

Step 7: Test for CD/DVD drive failure  Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03370738 to know more about DVD playback.

And also check this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04222533  HP PCs - Using CyberLink PowerDVD to play videos, music, and movies.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
