Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

recently purchased a 43" samsung ultra HD smart led 2019 model. i want to use this tv as my monitor for my laptop so i connected with an hdmi cord but i cant get my display to stretch to the size of my tv screen. i have tried so many things such as duplicate, extend and even cloning. i have updated my intel graphics driver and software still no success. the only thing that grows larger is the icons on my desktop. dont know what to do next. appreciate any advise at this point. so FRUSTRATED.

There are two things we need to know

 

(a) What is the model/product of tour computer N3540 is the CPU, not the machine. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:


    https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824


Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

 

(b) What is the model or your ultra HD smart led 2019 model

 

Note: normally the HDMI 1.2 on your computer ONLY supports 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz (FHD) and looks like your TV support  3840 x 2160 (UHD) therefore you won't get full TV screen.  I still need to know them BOTH to confirm this.

Thank you so much for offering to help me, you are the only one that has tried. I am getting so frustrated. I find it hard to believe that a 2019 smart tv can't reach the resolution that i need. Here is the information you requested, hope it's the right info.

 

My laptop is Model#: 15-f272wm

Product #: n5yo5ua#aba

 

TV:Samsung 43" Class 4k Ultra HD (2160p) HDR Smart LED TV #un43ru7200 (2019 model)

 

I would so appreciate any help you can give me.
