Pavilion 550-300no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Can't find any drivers matching af HP Pavilion 550-300no on the support site. Tried drivers for 550-300nl - but they are not the same. Bios update can't be run cause of incompatible version.

Right now I can't get wireless network to work.

And every time windows 10 home goes in sleep mode - windows crashes and the system rebots.

Just made a clean windows 10 install twice, nothing helps.

Any hints ??

Hi:

See if installing the amd chipset drivers directly from AMD helps. Install and restart the PC

1st driver on the webpage.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

Graphics:  The specs indicate your PC comes with an AMD Radeon R5 330, 2 GB Graphics adapter.

This package provides the AMD Graphics Driver for supported desktop models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp76746.exe

What model wlan card does your PC come with?   I'll post the link to the W10 driver you need.

If you don't know, please post the hardware ID for the device listed in the device manager as a Network Controller.

To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing the driver.

Then click on the details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.

Now you will see a Property drop down list, and it will be set to Device Description.

Drop down on that list, and select the 3rd item (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Thanks.

Installed the amd drivers, now the system is not rebboting any more - but I'm still missing the wireless option.

Don't know witch wlan card the pc is born with.

The produck model is 550-300no, product id is W3A42EA#UUW according to HP Support assistent.

The nic detected is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, but the wifi is not detected correct - it is listed as virtual adapter: Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter

HArdware id for the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_2B52103C&REV_0C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_2B52103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_020000
