How many Wi-Fi antenna wires are attached to the existing Wi-Fi adapter currently installed--one or two?

I don't see any, but the adapter I have is below.

The Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wi-Fi adapter is lying flat on the motherboard and in order for it to work, it has to have at least one antenna wire connected to it.

 

If it only has one antenna wire, you would have to install a PCIe x1 desktop Wi-Fi card upgrade kit.

 

Looking at the picture of the motherboard at the link below, it appears the Wi-Fi card would be located to the right of those 3 black PCIe x1 slots.  It should be in that white slot.
