HP All-in-one 24-f1047c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 24-f1047c  All-in-one started a bios update this morning. On restarting, wi-fi capabilities are gone (there is not even a wifi tab under the Network and internet menu). The tabs are status, ethernet, dial-up, VPN, airplane mode, mobile hotspot, data usage, proxy. Wi-fi option is just gone. Is there some hidden button somewhere on the All-in-one that accidentally got pushed and turned off wifi? I am just absolutely stumped. Please help!

Hi Nanoid,

Open Device Manager. (Win Key+R)

Expand the Network Adapters.

Right click on the Wireless Adapter and click Properties.

Click the Power Management tab.

Remove the check mark beside "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

Click OK and go back to your Network and Internet menu and test your wifi.

If that does not work, go back into Device Manager and this time right click on your adapter and click Uninstall Device, Confirm you want to uninstall it, then restart the computer.

It will reinstall the device for you.
Then go back to your Network and Internet menu and try to test your wifi again.
