Desktop
Microsoft Windows 11

Bought my desktop in the beginning of December when there's HP desktop deals.  The desktop already has wifi connection issue, wifi issue drops once every one to two hours,  I am forced to restart the machine because won't able to locate any wifi at all.  Contacted HP support at least a dozen time, tried reinstalling Windows multiple times, updating bios set up, reinstalling network drivers, even updating drivers.  Sent back to HP service center, HP replaced a new network card, but sent the machine back without testing.  Received the machine from service center with the same issue.  I even tried  replaceing the desktop with another one.  Second machine is having the same issue.  The machine is still in warranty, but now HP support is trying to brush me off without trying to fix the machine.  Please think twice before you are buying a HP computer

You may have gotten a lemon.  Fortunately it is in warrantee.  There are a few things to try as possibly the problem is the Wi-Fi signal or lack thereof.

SANITY CHECK:  Your have a North American system and are in North America.  If you have an NA system but you are in UK or EU than that is the problem as not all the bands are available and you are stuck with 2.4  band.

On desktop select 5ghz and "AC"

All type of "gadgets" run at 2.4 avoid like COVID.

At modem be sure the 2.4 and 5.0 have same password and SSID and both are WPA-2 or better.

Run the "find best channel" or whatever it is called.  Worst case, use smart phone "WiFi analyzer" to get a clear channel
