Plugged it in and Ethernet worked for a day next day ...

@mrdennisgman

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.

Now the HP tech team are sending me a recovery USB drive that they have modified to fix the build they sent me...

I am being told by there supervisor that it is not the fault of HP,  because the extensive tests all come back passed...

which shows there HP Envy hardware is working fine...

HP says it is Microsoft and I may have to contact them?....

my responce was "without the os then it is just junk hardware"....test.jpg

I refuse to send the PC to them ...

This is the 3rd one they sent me with the same os from Microsoft...

All had the same issue, no ethernet after required update,

They need to practice on someone elses hardware for a while...

one curious thing, is this network test they are ignoring when remotly logging in..what does this mean?....network test.jpg

Case manager just called and said there is NOTHING HP CAN DO.... wants to pay me for the pc, I guess I want too much when it comes to a working PC....

Just installed Gigabit 10/100/1000mbps PCI Express Network Adapter to see if that works...

It has the same symptoms as before so it is a driver issue or a update issue...

Why would HP just want to pay me and send me on my way?

She said ..."so I can go buy a pc that I like"

Someone has to be able to fix this wireless works great just NO ETHERNET even with a "NEW ADAPTER"
