Can't use Gigabit ethernet on HP all in one PC. Have gigabit ethernet connection available...

HP All in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

have an HP all in one PC.

I also have Verizon Gigabit service, with an ethernet connection to the PC.

however, the PC does not allow for gigabit speeds on the current card in the all in one.

I got a USB to RJ45 gigabit adapter, but I still could not get the gigabit connection
