Hi, I have a van tech USB 3.0 card that I want to install in this computer. Is this possible/advisable? Thanks

@Tsdenver, welcome to the forum.
Here are the available expansion slots on the motherboard:
One PCI-E (GEN 3) x16 socket
One M.2 socket 1, key A
If the USB 3.0 card is PCI Express x1 there is no way to install it.

Thanks. It is that type of USB card so it won't work. Two questions: 1) how can I add more USB ports to this machine and 2) what is the internal slot useful for? Tom

Here is an external 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub - Desktop that should work for you. I suggest contacting a StarTech Tech using their Chat Live option. They will be able to help you find the best hub for your system.
