My desktop computer allows me to connect to my 5 GHz wifi but the 2.4 GHz wifi does not show up as an option. My other desktop can connect to either. How to I find the 2.4 GHz wifi?

Normally it use the better one that why it picks 5.0GHz ? Why you need to connect it to the slower network ?

As you can see: one of my test machines which connects to both and normally it uses the G5 connection.
