Hi @Nurden1 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with the display on your HP laptop. If the screen is black and you've already tried the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B shortcut to restart the graphics driver, and it didn't work, you might want to try the following steps:
Restart Your Laptop:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve display issues. Try restarting your laptop and see if the problem persists.
Check Power and Connection:
- Ensure that your laptop is receiving power and the battery is not critically low.
- If you're using an external monitor, check the connection between your laptop and the monitor.
External Display:
- If you have an external monitor, try connecting your laptop to it. This will help determine if the issue is with the laptop's display or a more general problem.
Brightness Adjustment:
- Sometimes, the display brightness might be set too low. Try adjusting the brightness using the function keys on your keyboard.
Safe Mode:
- Boot your laptop in Safe Mode. If the display works in Safe Mode, it could indicate a problem with a third-party application or driver. Try updating your graphics driver in Safe Mode.
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Go to the device manager, find the display adapters, right-click and select "Update driver." You can also go to the HP website and download the latest graphics drivers for your laptop model.
System Restore:
- If the issue started recently, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state when the display was working correctly.
Hardware Check:
- If you're comfortable doing so, you can check the physical connections of your display cables and ensure they are securely connected.
HP Diagnostics:
- HP laptops often come with built-in diagnostic tools. You can access these by turning off your laptop, then turning it back on and immediately pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens. From there, you can run various diagnostics.
Professional Assistance:
- If none of the above solutions work, it might be a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
