Hi,

Looks like it does not have wireless card but its motherboard has 3 PCI Express x1 slot (for cards such as network, sound, tv-tuner)

You need a PCI network card for your machine, such as

    http://www.msy.com.au/64-network-card

Since the machine is too old, I don't know USB wireless card is suitable or not. If you are going to buy one, please ask vendor to supply driver for it.

Regards.

Hi,

Is it the following machine ?

           http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01793056

It may or may not because it is a CTO (Configure To Order) machine therefore only you know. You can check using Devive Manager. Please check Network adapters section to see how many items are in there.  Can be one of the following options:

  • None
  • 56K bps data/fax modem (external USB modem)
  • Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g (internal USB wireless)
  • 56K bps data/fax modem (external USB modem) & Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g (external antennae)
  • Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n & external antenna
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 wireless card & Bluetooth Flicker (USB)
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 wireless card & external antenna

Regards.

Thanks for responding. It was not a CTO, so I'm guessing there  is no wifi built in. Do you have a good suggestino for post market best solution?

Many thanks again
