Does the HP EliteBook 840 G1 have a wireless mouse receiver built in? How do I get it to interact with my  logitech mouse

I believe you are referring to the little USB Unifying Receiver that Logitech sells with its mice.

 

Your notebook does not provide a built-in unifier.   

 

Windows does provide some general mouse-friendly software.  Once you have a mouse and its compatible receiver plugged into the USB port, most Logitech mice will at least provide basic functionality.

There is also general support and other information at the Logitech site.

 

Looks like Amazon also sells these -- use your search engine to locate a resource in your region.
