Hi:
Every HP Elitebook 840 G5 has a SIM card slot.
What 90% of them don't have is the optional and expensive WWAN adapter hardware that is needed to connect to a cellular network.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the network adapters device manager category.
In that section you will see an ethernet adapter (probably Intel), a wifi adapter, and if your notebook has a mobile broadband adapter (WWAN), then it will be one of these, according to the specs:
HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA+ 4G Mobile Broadband
or
Intel® XMM™ 7360 LTE-Advanced
If you don't see either of those devices listed there, then your notebook does not have mobile broadband capability.
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers and/or email addresses on the community.
