HP Recommended

I have an older HP Envy 810-170st.  I want to use this in a Home Lab I am setting up.  I want to install VMware but it will not recognize the integrated LAN.  I tried 2 USB Lan adapters, but I get to 81% and it fails do to a missing driver for the USB Nic's.  Yes, I konw there is a way to modify the ISO, but I spent a week trying to get it to work from various sites information, but nothing happens.  I want to buy a Dual/Quad Lap card for this machine that will handle up to VMware 8.  I have tried 3 cards, two the system would not recognize and freeze, the third only work with a very old version of VMware.

 

Any suggestions?
