XW4600 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Seems HP can NOT locate the needed driver for this device (801.11 n WLAN). Device Manager shows error symbol. This is the device ID: USB\VID_148F&PID_7601&REV_0000
USB\VID_148F&PID_7601

Compatible ID: USB\Class_FF&SubClass_FF&Prot_FF
USB\Class_FF&SubClass_FF
USB\Class_FF

Config Flags: 00000040
CONFIGFLAG_FAILEDINSTALL

Not sure what more info needed here. Point me to the right driver please! I installed the Broadcom xTreme Gigabyte update and did not help. ALL drivers updated through HP except for this.

Hi:

Try the W7 wireless driver from this link and see if it works.

http://static.tp-link.com/resources/software/TL-WN727N_V4_131203.zip

The file shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

[TP-LINK.NTamd64.6.1]
;DisplayName Section Hardware ID
;----------- ------- --------------------------
%TP-LINK_7601.DeviceDesc% = OS61_RTWLANR_7601.ndi, USB\VID_148F&PID_7601
