computer can't communicate with smart Blu Ray unit and stream

The computer says it's configured correctly, but the Blu-Ray player will not communicate properly with the computer.  I originally thought the computer was at fault, but now I think the Blu-Ray player is not working correctly.  The player says it's connected to local network, but then it says there is a problem with the network.  I don't know how to fix the player.  I guesss I'll ttry to find some other way to stream to the TV.  Thanks for relying.
