I am only seeing ethernet under network connections and not Wi-Fi on my desk top

HP Recommended
HP Slimline Desktop - 450-a114
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

some how today i lost the wi-fi adapter my computer.  it was working and now it is missing.

 

I am using my lap top to try and fix this issue on my moms computer...

 

we have a wireless router in the house and the lap top is contected to it.

 

i just cant find the Wi-Fi on the desk top computer...

 

I know we have a buitl in wireless card in the desk top computer

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!


From my experience, if a PC has both wired and wireless networking hardware and is connected through a wired connection, you will not see the WiFi.

 

Try disconnecting the network cable and then see if the WiFi shows.
