I need to know the upgrade options for the wireless Wi/Fi card in a Pavilion Gaming Desktop. We purchase the desktop from BestBuy. It is in a room far away from our cable modem. I have other computers and laptops in the same room which are getting faster speeds when doing identical speed tests. Any help would be nice. My kids want to use this as a gaming system.

It presently has a Realtek Wi-Fi 5 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo9 10 8  installed.

Hi:

According to HP your PC has the best wifi adapter they offered in the model series.

I have a new model HP notebook with the Ryzen 4500 processor, and to my surprise, HP installed an Intel AX200 Wifi 6 card in it.

Perhaps the Intel AX200 card would work in your desktop PC too.

You would need to get the non-vPro version of the card...

Below is the link to the service manual which will help you open up the PC.

There will not be a procedure to remove and replace the wifi card.

Looking at purchasing the: from Amazon just wanted to make sure it would plug and play in the setup..

TP-Link WiFi 6 AX3000 PCIe WiFi Card | Up to 2400Mbps | Bluetooth 5.0 | 802.11AX Dual Band Wireless Adapter with MU-MIMO,OFDMA,Ultra-Low Latency | Supports Windows 10 (64bit) only (Archer TX3000E)

So you are going to leave the Realtek card installed?

Is this the one you want?

It should work fine as long as your PC's one PCIe x1 slot isn't being used, or blocked by another component such as a graphics card.
