Topic is not correct but I guess it may be the closest one. I want to transfer programs and files to my laptop in the easiest way possible. I am not very computer literate so any suggestions please put them in layman terms

hi
it depends if your two computers have the same operating system
If you are moving incompatible programs from an old system, it may not be a good thing.
There is software that will allow you to do this quite easily, but sometimes certain programs will work better if they are completely reinstalled.

A bios update, as well as various manipulations that can be proposed here, is not without risk!
Be aware that if you are offered to do so, it will be at your own risk, the computer may become unusable, think about it
