Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have internet speed of 200 Mpbs. I have my internet provider out and they have checked the router and the speed coming into the computer and it is 240 Mpbs. The system is hard wired to the PC. I can only get about 110 Mpbs when I do a speed test and I have used many different speed test toools and they all show the same thing. Any thoughts?

The internet speed limitation is a hardware limitation.

Your PC has no internal expansion slots so adding an internal gigabit ethernet adapter is not an option.

If you want to still use an ethernet cable, you can purchase an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.

You will have to plug it into one of your PC's USB 3 ports to get the best performance out of it.

Hi:

There is nothing wrong with your PC.

You're actually getting a tiny bit more than the ethernet adapter is rated at (100 MBPS).

Below is the link to the product specs page for your PC.

Under the networking specifications section you will find the Realtek RTL8106E-CG ethernet adapter has a maximum throughput of 100 MBPS.

Is there hardware/softeware that can be purchased to enhance the speed?
