Laptop hotspot not detected by other laptop

Hello Team,

 

The issue is that,  the hotspot shared from my laptop is being connected to android phones, but it is not detected by other laptops.

 

Those other laptops can detect other WiFis, but not mine (the hotspot from my laptop).

 

I checked for settings, to find out, if there is any limitations on the number of devies connected, but its not that.

 

I have reinstalled all the network adapter drivers and restarted my laptop, but no use.

 

Please help me regarding the issue!!!

Hey there! @SABBHA, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

 

I understand you have issues connecting to mobile hotspot from another laptop.

 

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

 

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your laptop?

 

To create the hotspot on your laptop the wireless card support the hotspot option.

 

Please try the steps mentioned below.
 
Run the network troubleshooter and check.
1.Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
2.Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.
3.Click “Find and fix problems” option from the list appeared on the left side.
4.Click network and the internet and run the network adaptor troubleshooter.
 

 

Also, try the steps recommended below.

 

1. From a home screen, select Apps (located in the lower-right). 
2. From the Apps tab, select Mobile Hotspot. 
3. Select the Network SSID name (located near the top of the screen). 
4. Select the connection mode: 
5. Allow all devices  
6.Only allowed devices
