HP Recommended
Desktop All-In-One Pavilion 24-B017a

Hi, my desktop All-In-One Pavilion 24-B017a can't boot up. Error messages are

Error sending end of post message to ME: HECI disabled, proceeding with boot

Eventually open after long diagnostic but keep loosing Wifi connection and now speaker sound crackling . . .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

OK.

SSID WiFi Born On.png  Mine is 8130.

HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 81B7)   F.40 Rev.A   Download

AND this is the failed item?
Intel Platform ME Firmware Update  Dec 14, 2017 sp84244.exe    (221.5 MB)

Did the internal HP software run and do this updates itself?

Perhaps install the latest BIOS and re-run the update.

Just wanted to say thanks, I was searching for a while to find why my HP support assistant kept offering me a PC ME update and chipset update that stayed there, no matter how many times I installed them.

I checked on HP supports website and they offered a more modern bios version than mine (f13 vs f12a). This bios update was not available in the HP assistant, but was available online.

After I installed the update, the PC ME update and the chipset software installed fine and I am finally fully updated without a problem.

Pro tip for HP, add the bios update to HP support assitant before you offer updates that require it.

If it helps, my system is a HP Omen 17-an018na
