Hi @holmes11, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with those persistent McAfee pop-ups and the white screen issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this problem:

Uninstall McAfee:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type control.exe and press Enter to open the Control Panel.
  • Go to Programs and Features.
  • Find McAfee in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.

Disable McAfee Services:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Go to the Startup tab.
  • Disable any McAfee-related services.

Remove McAfee from Browsers:

  • For Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > View permissions and data stored across sites, and delete all data related to McAfee.
  • For Edge: Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data, and remove any McAfee-related data.

Check for Malware:

  • Sometimes, pop-ups can be caused by malware. Use a reliable antivirus program to scan your computer and remove any threats.

Reset Browser Settings:

  • Reset your browser settings to default to remove any lingering issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
