HP Recommended

Internet connection at home keeps kicking me offline. At school or other locations the connection is consistent. How can I keep connection while at home. We have no choice other that wireless connection, but phones and television has and doesnt loose connection. It is only the computer. Even when no one is home and nothing else but the laptop is connected, I still get loss of connection. I dont have widows 10. not sure what version I have but computer is probably three or four years old
