HP Pavilion Power 580-000 Desktop PC series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Subject says it all. The color on the ethernet cable is turnning off and on; it flashes green and red light blinks twice. I tried two different cables to see if it was the cable, but both ethernet cables encounter the same problem. When I diganose the problem it says plug an ethernet cable into the network. once I replug the ethernet cable and rediagnose to see if the problem was fixed it says the following: ethernet doesn't have valid IP configuartion or an ethernet cable is not properly plugged in or might be broken.

Also, the wifi cant connect the internet; it says can't connect to this network after putting in the correct password. verified that my wifi was working because I entered the same password on my phone and it connected.

My first and only guess is that the ethernet port is defective. I say this because I plug the same ethernet cord into my laptop and it recognizes it.

UPDATE: Problem is fixed; all i had to was update all the network drivers and/or reset the network adapter. DURRRRRRRRR! Sorry guys! Thanks.
