Vodafone are offering 500 Mbps broadband 2.4 and 5 ghz. This computer only has 2.4ghz. So I thought buy a dongle.

Several problems occured to me with this sort of speed.

Will I get 500Mbps on 2.4ghz

If I use a 1200Mbps dual band dongle they say 2.4ghz is 300Mbps and 5ghz is 867Mbps ... as I cannot connect bothb bands at the same time I start to doubt their figures.

if I plug tge dongle in to the fastest USB my computer has ... will the socket be able to handle 500Mbps  ?

Any advice from experts in these sort of speeds would be very welcome

thanks

@oporus, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Plugging in the dongle into the fastest USB port should help you use the internet at its highest speed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
