Welcome to the HP Support Forums! This is a wonderful place to get assistance and find tips.

I see you are unable to find the wireless network icon on your HP Slimline Desktop. I will be happy to help you.

Please try the steps mentioned below:

Right click on the Windows (Start) button.

Select Control Panel.

Once you have the control panel window open, on the top right side you would have an option that would say, view by "category" or "small icons" or "large icons". Set it to large or small icons and you would find an option called “Notification Area Icons”. Select it.

On the bottom left side of the Notification area icons window, you would find an option called “Turn system icons on or off”. Please click on it and set the network icons behavior to ON.

This should help you get the network icon back in the notification area.

Let me know how it goes or if you need any further assistance.

Hi @4gvrao

Thanks for the reply. Glad to see that you have tried to update the driver for the wireless adapter as well. Kudos to you.

If you have also tried to check the notification icons behaviour, on the control panel as suggested earlier.

Please try the steps mentioned in this Microsoft forum http://hp.care/2eQ0JCS

Let me know if it helped.
