Hi @Deb583

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2755e is experiencing an issue where it goes through the motions of printing but produces blank pages. Let’s work through some troubleshooting steps to get it working again:

1. Check the Ink Levels

  • Open the HP Smart app or printer software on your computer to check the ink levels.
  • If the ink is low or empty, replace the cartridges.

2. Ensure the Cartridges are Properly Installed

  • Open the printer and check that the cartridges are seated securely.
  • Remove each cartridge, inspect it for any protective tape (if newly installed), and reinsert it properly until it clicks into place.

3. Clean the Printhead

  • Over time, the printhead (or nozzles in the cartridges) can get clogged. Use the HP Smart app or printer settings to perform a printhead cleaning:
    • Open the app, select your printer, and look for the Maintenance or Tools option.
    • Run the Clean Printhead or Printer Maintenance tool.

4. Print a Test Page

  • After cleaning the printhead, print a test page to check if the issue is resolved:
    • Navigate to your printer’s settings and find the option to print a Printer Test Page.

5. Check Paper and Print Settings

  • Make sure you’re using the correct type of paper for your printer.
  • Check your print settings before printing to ensure they align with the type of document or photo you’re printing.

6. Restart the Printer

  • Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source for 2-3 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and power it on to refresh its system.

7. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Ensure you’re using the latest drivers. Visit the HP Support website to download and reinstall the appropriate driver for your printer model.

8. Inspect for Hardware Issues

  • If the issue persists, check for visible damage or debris on the cartridges or inside the printer.
  • Consider testing the printer with a different set of cartridges if possible.
