HP OfficeJet 6700 PremiumH711n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Changed printers from HP 6700 to HP 8610. Tried to eliminate everything relating to the 6700 but I am now getting a RunDLL message upon bootup: "Theree was a problem starting C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet 6700\bin\HPStatusBL\dll"

How do I get rid of this from showing up when I reboot?

Printer has been uninstalled / removed – error message persists

Solution provided by  ShlomiL (Paraphrased):

  • Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)
  • Type (copy and paste) into the address bar and press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

  • Delete (drag to Trash) the monitor ink alerts shortcut to the non-existing printer
