will this work for   HP Pavilion TP01-2256 Desktop Computer, Intel Core i5, 12GB Memory, 256GB SSD (318G9AA#ABA) with windows 11?  at wits end and HP no help.

Yes, those drivers will work for your PC's Wi-Fi adapter.

Whether or not the driver will fix the problem, that I do not know.

i don't really understand why the wifi card (WLAN RT 11AC 2X2 + BT5 m.2 2230 Wireless Card)  installed in my hp desktop is only listed on sites as for a NOTEBOOK only.   struggling to find a good replacement card if the driver change doesn't help.

The same type of M.2 Wi-Fi card is used in both desktop and notebook PC's.

There is no difference at all.

If you want a different model Wi-Fi card, I recommend this one which should work for your PC:

You can find this model Wi-Fi card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number not the model of the Wi-Fi card.

thanks, Paul_Tikkanen.   the wifi has stayed connected since updating the driver.  this new driver wasn't listed in optional driver updates from Microsoft - so truly appreciate your help!
