Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP All-in-One 24-f0047c. My Lan card apparently was damaged in a power outage. I can use 2.4 but not 5G. Is there an actual Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter card, in a slot, on my MOBO? Thanks

Hi:

 

Yes, the card is removable.

 

That is kind of unusual that just the 5.0 GHz band went out on it.

 

Did you try updating the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version and see if that restores the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band?

If not, you may want to try that first before replacing the card, because it is pretty difficult to take your PC apart to replace the Wi-Fi card.

Hi NOPE I did not try that, great idea, driver error is more reasonable than a partial failure or "half" the card.
