Hi,
I have a HP Pavilion All-in-One-24-k0019nb desktop with Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11AC PCIe Adapter but it seems that it does not pick up 5ghz while my fibre optic and router are transmitting on both bands and signal strength of 5ghz is strong. I have another laptop that picks up 5ghz fine with more than 2Gpbs link speed.
any suggestions on how to upgrade the adapter on desktop or the driver?
regards
Mayank

HI:
That model Wi-Fi adapter is supposed to work in both the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi bands and there should be no need to do anything.
This is the latest driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter:
Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN Drivers
2024.10.228.9 12/07/2023
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp150501-151000/sp150994.exe
If you want to replace/upgrade the card, this model should work:
Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro HP part # / SPS # M27269-005.
If you have to replace the Wi-Fi adapter, this link has various service videos to help.
