Is there any support that comes with a new HP Slimline that I am considering buying?  Will they help me (telephone support)  transfer my files to the new computer.  I don't want to buy the computer unless I know I can transfer files with thier help.

Hello
Check the warranty conditions, but no
you have support in case of hardware problem.
for what you indicate, it will probably be necessary to subscribe to an additional support, (if this is done in your country)
That being said, if it's just the transfer hassle you could ask for help here, there will certainly be someone to help you.

@WAWood  maybe ?

@100Frustrated

Since I have been asked specifically to respond -- I will.

When you buy an HP PC, it comes with 12 months of free HP technical support -- but we here are NOT IT.  We are a volunteer group and online support here is free for the life of the PC.

The free HP technical support comes from HP and you have to contact them for it -- and there is the rub because HP has taken down all the US phone numbers due to scammers and NOW, to get a contact number (which we are not allowed to provide) you have to go online and fill out a trouble ticket -- which you can't do if your PC has failed on you.

I'm not aware of HP providing any support to migrate stuff from your old PC to your new one.  To do that, you will have to BUY a product designed for that and do that on your own.  The one I have used and recommend is EaseUS ToDo PC Transfer.  Look it up online to find out the details.

Yeah, you could contact HP Sales and ask them about the support, but understand that whatever they say is not binding on HP Tech Support.

I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
