u27 wireless monitor

when trying to connect to the wireless monitor, the u27 does not appear on the available devices list.  I saw someone say you need to switch from HDMI to wireless but i am unable to figure out how  do that from the monitor.  when getting to the "Input Control" - the only options are HDMI and VGA.  I tried switching it to VGA but the monitor still does not appear on the connect device options on my hp Elitebook 840
