HP Recommended
HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

SOLVED: Having noted status was 100Mbps tried yet another ethernet cable and it changed to 1Gbps and speed back to normal.

Now to find how I mark a post as solved.........

Recently bought: HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF
The network adapter is: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (7) I219-LM
Internet connection is fibre to Orange Livebox 4 router.

I started setting it up and installed Ookla Desktop app, and recorded 939Mbps down/314Mbps up. Similar to what I get from 2 other devices using ethernet.

I then added most of my usual apps and 2 days later the next test was 95Mbps down/194Mbps up and has stayed like that since. Upload varies and has peaked at 288Mbps, but download is never over 96Mbps. The other devices still get full speed.

I've uninstalled all the apps one by one that were installed between the 2 readings and restarted in between without any improvement. I've done same with other apps installed since. I've uninstalled Norton and set Windows Defender firewall to off, no difference so Norton re-installed.

I've disabled/enabled network adapter, deleted and re-installed it, no difference.

I've tried switching ethernet cables, and sockets on the router, no difference.

Other suggestions welcome?
