There are many machines called Envy 700. Your machine should be 700-something, for example HP ENVY 700-481no
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04503361
Basically they have same network adapters (wired and wireless). You machine should have same
- Technology: Realtek RTL8151GH-CG
- Data transfer speeds: up to 10/100/1000 Mb/s
- Transmission standards: 1000BASE-T Ethernet
That means you can use CAT5e or CAT6 LAN cable to connect from your router (or access point) to your machine (port #2 as shown). Note: Please do not use CAT5 cable.
Figure : Back I/O ports

- Optical S/PDIF-out port
- LAN
- USB 2.0: 2
- USB 3.0: 2
- DVI-D
- DVI-I
- Audio: center/subwoofer
- Audio: rear speaker out
- Audio: side speaker out
- Audio: Line in
- Audio: Line out
- Audio: Microphone
It should turn up automatically and you can keep or disable wifi.
Regards.
