pavilion all-in-one 24-xa1014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI, I have an HP Paviliion All-in-one 24-xa1014 desktop computer. It has lots of ports on the back, including one that looks like an Ethernet port.

I need to hard wire the computer to my modem for improved internet speed, etc.

I tried to connect the yellow, cat. 5E cord that came with the modem, but the end is to large to fit into my computer.

What size cord am I supposed to buy?

Or is there an adapter that I need to purchase?

(The sticker on the box does not specifically list a wired LAN port, but I can see it....)

Thanks in advance - this is very frustrating.

Its specs

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06245951

It has one

  • Technology: Realtek RTL8111HSH
  • Data transfer speeds: up to 10/100/1000 Mb/s
  • Transmission standards: 1000BASE-T Ethernet

At its back. It is a standard RJ-45 port. Please check, it may have a over or a door over it.

It also has few other ports

  •  (3) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (one supports BC 1.2)
  • (2) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C
  • (1) Headphone/microphone combo

 Regards.
