Hi, had this new chromebook since christmas and when i go to use it, it will turn my wifi off and on other devices that is connected to the wi-fi.
My son has an older chrome book and has not had any problems with his. I can not use my chromebook the same time as my son because as soon as i turn mine on, it kicks my son of the wi-fi and kicks him of his online learning : (.
Ive done a factory reset on my chrome book, restarted router etc, could it be a loose wi fi card ?
TIA

It sounds a bit like both Chromebooks are fighting over the same IP address.
One is assigned by the router - all is good.
Other device starts up and grabs the same connection, forcing the first device off the network.
Not common - most routers won't mistake one device for another.
Log into your router and check the connected devices list.
Most routers also provide some kind of log - check that, too, to see if the router knows what is happening.
One (rare) issue that can arise (should not but can) is that the router might have an "IP-Mac Address" Pair assigned in the router connection setup that does NOT match the "IP" and Mac address of the device connecting. This is not exactly what you are describing, but it might be worth a check. If you do find a "wrong" pair setup in the router, simply remove "wrong" entry >> restart your router and then the devices so they connect again.
What else?
Figure out which Chromebook(s) you have,
Check Category Troubleshooting for Wireless connections
Check Category Manuals and take look at the User Guide
What else?
While software is not included in the Standard Warranty,
It is Possible there is something actually wrong with the hardware.
After you check / pound on / exhaust other avenues,
