My  WiFi adapter is Railink RT3290.802.11bgn. Is this compatible with a 5G provider?

Hi:

That model wifi card is a single band (2.4 GHz only) wifi adapter.

Anytime you see a wifi adapter specification with a suffix ending in b/g/n, that means it is a single band (2.4 Ghz only) wifi card.

Dual band (2.4/5.0) wifi N cards have suffixes that end in a/b/g/n or a/g/n.
