WiFi adaptor

Realtek usb wireless lan utility
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

So recently my computer games were lagging. So I went to my control panel and started deleting stuff. After I shut down my computer went to bed and when I got back on I had no WiFi. I checked my router. That was fine. I checked a lot of stuff til I found out that I deleted something I shouldn’t have. I bought a RealTek usb wireless lan utility online and when it came, it came with some other things like a disc, the usb, a connecting part to the usb, and instructions. The first thing I did was put the disc inside my computer. It brought up a selection where I could select what type of computer I was using. I selected windows since that was the type I’m using. Next it downloaded I read the manual and after it downloaded it said to open the download. So I did. It said that under the task “ my computer “ it should bring up a folder but there was no folder. I’ve looked through device manager. Got my family try to fix. But know one knew how to fix it? Does anyone know of away to fix this or tell me that I installed something wrong?

@ChocolatCloud, welcome to the forum.

What is the full model or product number for the computer?  I need this information to review the specs of it.
