WiFi turns off when Ethernet connected with Windows 10

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every time I connect an Ethernet cable my WiFi adapter turns off. The Ethernet network has no internet connection it is just to connect to other drives on the network. I want to be able to connect to the internet and other drives on the network.
