HP pavilion 500-054
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried everything to try and get it back but I am on a HP pavilion 500-054 and it cant get internet unless a Ethernet cable is plugged in. I check in device manager and its not there just the ethernet device is there. I have a rt5390 device for network and checked In the desktop to see if it was there and it was. I cannot find anywhere to find where to redownload or get back it for device manager. I have went on Hp support to find the driver there but no luck. I need to get network back for school.

Please HELP.

Hi:

That is a common issue with that old wifi card and the newer builds of W10.

There is no fix other than to buy an external USB wifi adapter that has support for W10, or replace the internal Ralink wifi card.

If you let me know how many antenna cables are connected to the Ralink wifi card in your PC, I can suggest a suitable internal wifi card that will work with W10.

I can't find a service manual for your PC, so shut it down, unplug it and see if you can figure out how to open the case if you haven't done so previously.
