Wifi PCI chip Whitelist

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying t upgrade my Wifi PCI chip. I want replace it with more powerful wifi chip so I can connect to the internet more securely. I was wondering is there any whitelist. Whitelisting is a software-based practice which limits the usable wireless cards in a system to those which have been pre-approved by the vendor, so if this is true in my case does HP sell any upgrades which are viable?
