My Omen 30L will not find the Internet.

One of my kids was playing about on the computer and might of got a virus, spent hours trying to fix it.

So Reset the Windows system, loading system windows system but still can’t find the internet to load windows software.

mate said it might be the network part on the motherboard. If so I’m not going to be happy as it’s just under 2 years old.

Any help I would be most appreciated

The PC should have a built-in wireless adapter you can connect to the internet with if the wired ethernet adapter has failed.

It does but it still don’t work, it’s said:

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your PC have?

HP Recommended

not sure and I now stuck in this boot up with it asking for internet access which will not work on network cable or WiFi

See the info at the link below for how to finish setting up Windows without connecting to the internet.

Once you can get to the device manager you can see if any drivers need to be installed.

Hi buddy,

so I have now loaded the windows I went to sign in even though it’s say I have a connection it came up with “Something Went Wrong”  also went to the Microsoft Store to get a browser I get “Check Your Connection”

checked my connection and now I’m back to “The DNS Server could not process the DNS Request” I’m starting to think it’s the mother board😞

Hi:

That doesn't sound good to me either.

Do you have a USB Wi-Fi adapter you can plug in and see if you can get access to the internet that way?

If that works, it would be a whole lot cheaper and easier to use a USB Wi-Fi adapter than to replace the system board on a hunch.
