Will upgrading my network card allow me to get faster internet speeds?

My cable company now provides 200 MPS internet speed, but my PC caps out about 60 MPS.  They checked the connection and said the problem is that my internet card only allows for 2.4 ghz speeed, and not the 5.0 ghz that I need.  Will swapping out my PCI- 2.4 ghz card with one that allows 5.0 ghz solve my problems, or is there something else I need to do?

@Jim_D_319, welcome to the forum.

Yes, upgrading your wifi adapter will increase the Internet speed.  I suggest that you try a USB wifi adapter.  The one in the link should be good.  This is a much easier way to upgrade to dual band.  I have used a USB adapter with great success.
