Windows 10 Bluetooth not finding device

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion 15-n213si
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Bluetooth is not picking up my headphones but it will pick up some other devices such as my phone and sports watch. I have used other PC's to determine if my headphones are the problem but they have immediately connected on both of the other PC's I tried them on. I have done a lot of troubleshooting with no success including the following:

  1. Unistalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth adapter;
  2. Stopping and restarting the drivers through the services.msc app;
  3. Trying to install updated driver versions for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Just incase that was the problem, don't see why though)  however when I explicitly locate the file to install the latest update, it tells me that it is already up to date.

I know it is quite a unique problem and is probably the reason why none of the options above have proved successful

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hey there! @Berries911, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand your laptop is having issues finding Bluetooth devices.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your laptop?

Try the steps recommended below.

Step 1. Go to device manager
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
Step 3. Select "Update Driver Software..."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 5. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
Step 8. Finally, select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link".

Please update the BIOS and Bluetooth drivers on your PC and check if it helps.

Link to update the Bluetooth drivers.

Also, update the BIOS using this link.
