Yesterday, there was an automatic windows update that occurred on my home computer. I was not around so do not know if there were any error messages. But am told there were none. Subsequent to that, lost all wireless and sound adapters and could not find any of the drivers. Also lost the capability to launch HP Support Assistant or any of HP's diagnostic tools on the computer. Tried downloading the drivers on a different computer and installing using a USB stick but that failed. Would appreciate any advice on how to recover.
Thank you.
Regards.

Since the update happened yesterday I suggest you uninstall that particular update and prevent it from reinstalling
