Wired Internet connection cycles on and off at 5 second intervals

HP Recommended
HP 110 Desktop model 110-335t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When my desktop computer is wired via ethernet cable the signal turns off and on at 5-10 second intervals. Was suspecting a damaged ethernet cable. Other computers wired to this connection get a steady internet signal.

I think the problem started when we upgraded to a new 100 mbps internet speed and router installed by FIOS tech. He switched the desktop to wireless when setting up. I noticed the the change a few weeks and changed back to LAN and noticed the problem.

I prefer not to use wireless since there is a hard cable available at the location and we have many other wireless "only toys' on the system.

Help Please

but that should not have changed.

I would type ipconfig -all    and concentrate on the values

To connect you need an IP Address (mine is 192.168.0.9),  a Subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and a Default Gateway.
192.168.0.1 or similar.

The DNS Servers values may be automatic, so may DHCP etc but there needs to numbers auto generated preferably.
The lease time I have set to my maximum.

If in doubt please ask.
